The Pendleton Fire

It was a sad day yesterday here in Pendleton.
Historic, Main Street, Pendleton will never be the same.
There was a devastating fire that broke out mid afternoon in the Eagles building that ended up taking half of the block.

This is fire shooting out of my very favorite Coffee Bean Roasters.

Landon and I just watched with sick stomachs as the fire continued to damage the buildings.

Today, Hamley's called all the employees of the Coffee Bean and offered them a job.

When the smoke would engulf the firemen, Landon's concern was raised as he wanted everyone to be safe.

So very thankful for those who came and helped...the firemen, American Red Cross, policemen, volunteers, those restaurants who donated food and water to those on the front lines. The firemen are still on watch tonight and tomorrow protecting us if there were any more breakouts of the fire.

Thank you firemen!
Thankful no one was hurt.
Thankful to be safe.
Thankful to have my family near me.
Thankful for friends.
Thankful for cell phones.
Thankful to be alive.
